Right-click the Tablet of Hirak Sun.
"The runes written on the tablet appear to be of an ancient language you do not understand. You notice in the center of the tablet, there is a chunk missing that appears to have been chiseled out."
"Perhaps this is what is causing the magic to release from the stone monument. Restoring the missing piece may contain the magic again and stop the attacks of the swamp creatures. There is much magic stored within the tablet, inexperienced tampering could very well kill the bearer."

Objectives

Someone has taken a piece of the rune tablet. Search the area north of the stone monument for the thief who stole this powerful artifact and return it to its rightful place. Finishing this will surely be enough to shut down the source.

- Go to the burned-out fire on the island just to the north
- Right-click the farther hobgoblin to look for the shard
The corpse appears to have once been a hobgoblin. It looks as if it were incinerated by an unknown cause.
- Search the corpse.
In it's right hand, what's left of it, you find an unscathed metallic shard that has embedded itself deep into the palm.
- Take the shard.
Ending Step[]
Return to the tablet of Hirak Sun and right-click it
You are about to return the missing shard to the tablet. As you hold the shard in your hand, it begins to vibrate and emit a low hum. Whispers from many engulf your mind. You cannot understand what they are saying, but you get a sudden feeling they are trying to tell you that you are not welcome here in the Xao Marshlands.
- I am ready to restore the monument's power.
