I have been playing computer role playing games since the late eighties (when I was quite young), starting with King's Quest. I first moved into online role playing games when I tried and quickly got addicted to my first MUD (Multi-User Domain). For those of you who aren't familiar with them, MUDs were text-based role playing games that you connected to and played with other players, arguably the early ancestors of modern MMOs. I learned during that period that I am what is referred to as an 'exploratory gamer.' What this boils down to is that in any game I play, I try to figure out how everything works, and why it works that way. I try everything, do everything, learn every last bit of lore, and explore to the edge of the map (and beyond if possible). I also enjoy role playing and socializing, but I think the reason I still play video games (and MMOs) is the ample room to explore and learn. These days I play Vanguard: Saga of Heroes more than anything else, usually logging on to the Seradon server daily, and of course have a full list of characters of all descriptions. The reason I elected to register with and contribute to this wiki? It's somewhere to share the things I learn, and hopefully help out my fellow players.
